Wie bereits angekündigt, hat heute die Abstimmung zum Semesterticket begonnen. Ihr entscheidet darüber, ob es das MDV-Ticket mit den veränderten Konditionen weiterhin geben soll. Um an der Abstimmung teilzunehmen, müsst Ihr Euch einfach im Löwenportal einloggen und unter der Rubrik „Abstimmung zum Semesterticket“ bis Freitag JA, NEIN oder ENTHALTUNG wählen. (In einer früheren Mail haben wir gesagt, dass Ihr dafür eine TAN bräuchtet. Das ist aber doch nicht der Fall. Wir bitten das Missverständnis zu entschuldigen.)
Hier sind noch einmal die Informationen:
Für die Fortführung des MDV-Semestertickets ab dem Wintersemester 2019/2020 haben die Studierendenräte mit dem MDV und dessen Verkehrsunternehmen folgende Konditionen ausgehandelt:
Die Studierenden können das Nahverkehrsangebot im gesamten MDV-Gebiet (Stand Oktober 2018, d. h. in allen Stadtverkehren im Verbund (auch Halle und Leipzig) und in den Landkreisen Saalekreis, Burgenlandkreis, Landkreis Nordsachsen, Leipzig, Altenburger Land, ehemaliger Landkreis Döbeln) weiterhin zeitlich uneingeschränkt 24/7 nutzen. Zum bestehenden MDV-Semesterticket gibt es (mit Ausnahme der nachfolgenden Kosten) keine Änderungen.
Die Kosten pro Semester betragen bzw. entwickeln sich wie folgt (sechs Jahre Laufzeit):
Ab WiSe 19/20: 134,90 €
Ab WiSe 20/21: 143,40 €
Ab WiSe 21/22: 151,90 €
Ab WiSe 22/23: 160,40 €
Ab WiSe 23/24: 168,90 €
Ab WiSe 24/25: 177,40 €
Das entspricht einer konstanten jährlichen Preissteigerung von 8,50 €.
Das MDV-Semesterticket zu den o. g. Konditionen ist und bleibt mit Abstand das preiswerteste Angebot zur Nutzung des ÖPNV. Der Betrag von 134,90 € ab Wintersemester 2019/2020 entspricht 22,48 € pro Monat.
Zum Vergleich:
Schon heute (Stand Oktober 2018) kostet die Azubi-Monatskarte allein für den Bereich Halle (Tarifzone 210) mit 51,70 € mehr als doppelt so viel. Nutzt Ihr für die Strecke Halle – Leipzig und zurück jeweils Einzelfahrscheine (eine Fahrt für 7,70 €, gilt für 5 Tarifzonen), kosten 2 Ausflüge nach Leipzig mit Rückfahrt schon 30,80 € und sind damit deutlich teurer, als das MDV-Semesterticket.

Today starts the voting on the continuation of the semesterticket. If you want to take part, you just have to log into your LÖWENPORTAL-Account and click on „Abstimmung zum Semesterticket“. There you can vote YES, NO or ABSTENTION until Friday the 16th of November.
Here are the informations on the new ticket:
For the continuation of the semester ticket provided by MDV (Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsbund, “Central German Transportation Association”) from the winter semester 2019/2020, the student councils have negotiated the following conditions with the MDV and its transport companies:
Students can continue to use the public transport services in the entire MDV area (as of October 2018, i.e. in all city transport networks (including Halle and Leipzig) and in the districts of Saalekreis, Burgenlandkreis, Landkreis Nordsachsen, Leipzig, Altenburger Land, former Landkreis Döbeln) 24/7 without any time restrictions.
There are no changes to the existing MDV semester ticket (with the exception of the following costs).
The costs per semester are as follows (six years duration):
From winter semester 19/20: 134.90 €
From winter semester 20/21: 143.40 €
From winter semester 21/22: 151.90 €
From winter semester 22/23: 160.40 €
From winter semester 23/24: 168.90 €
From winter semester 24/25: 177.40 €
This corresponds to a constant annual price increase of 8.50 €.
The MDV semester ticket at the above conditions is and remains by far the cheapest offer for using public transport. The amount of 134.90 € from winter semester 2019/2020 corresponds to 22.48 € per month.
For comparison:
Already today (October 2018), the monthly ticket for trainees only for the area Halle (tariff zone 210) costs € 51.70, more than twice as much. If you use single tickets for the route Halle – Leipzig and back (one trip for 7.70 €, valid for 5 tariff zones), 2 trips to Leipzig with return trip cost 30.80 € and are therefore considerably more expensive than the MDV semester ticket.
